In Kategorie 1 werden die Titelseiten bewertet. Seit einigen Jahren bewertet die Jury auch die Innenseiten der Titelgeschichte. Deshalb wurde die Kategorie in „Cover und Coverstory“ umbenannt. Es ist nach wie vor möglich, nur die Titelseite einzureichen, z.B. wenn die Innenseiten nicht attraktiv genug gestaltet sind.
